Dr. Christoforos Koulias

Christoforos Koulias, born in 1978, obtained his Medicine Degree in 2005 from the Medical School of the Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.
He completed his residency in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Allergy Department of the University Hospital “Attikon” in Athens in 2014 and following a fellowship awarded by the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology starting in 2013, he worked as an allergist at Imperial College and Royal Brompton Hospital, London, where he also participated in clinical trials on allergen-specific immunotherapy for patients with allergic rhinitis.
Upon his return to Greece in 2015, he continued working on clinical trials (FAST project for food allergy) and he started his private practice collaborating with two medical centers in Athens.
He has participated as a speaker in several allergy conventions and he is a member of the European, as well as the Hellenic, Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACi & HAACI).
As an allergist, Christoforos has focused on different areas, including respiratory allergies, with a special interest on clinical trials. He joined GSK in 2016 as a Medical Advisor, currently supporting the fields of Allergy and Respiratory

Professor Warren Lenney

Professor Warren Lenney is internationally renowned as a respiratory paediatrician.
He has lectured extensively throughout the world and has been at the forefront of paediatric respiratory research for 40 years. He has twice been the Chair of the British Paediatric Respiratory Society and was responsible for it joining with the British Thoracic Society in the 1990s.
Professor Lenney was the founding editor-in-chief of Paediatric Respiratory Reviews, a journal which remains the only one devoted exclusively to the care of the child with respiratory disease.
He was a trustee of the British lung foundation for many years as well as its vice chair and was also the chair of the Paediatric Formulary Committee which over-saw the progress and production of the British National Formulary for Children from 2009 to 2015. He was consultant respiratory paediatrician at the North Midlands University Hospitals Trust since 1996 and professor of respiratory paediatrics at University since 2005.
Professor Warren Lenney has joined GlaxoSmithKline Global Respiratory Franchise Team of Medical Expert as the Paediatric Global Medical Expert last November 2015 on a part-time basis.
He retains a small research commitment with the Royal Stoke University Hospital. In his research career Warren has supervised many research fellows to obtain their PhDs and MDs in topics such as electrolyte imbalance in very preterm babies, chest infections in children, asthma, cystic fibrosis and the childhood origins of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He has published over 200 articles and editorials on childhood respiratory topics in high quality medical journals. He was the first Medical Director of the West Midlands Medicines for Children Research Committee from 2006 to 2014 and over a similar time period was Chair of the BPRS Research Committee.
