AREXVY is supplied as 2 vials for reconstitution and administered in 1 dose.1
AREXVY must only be reconstituted with the supplied adjuvant suspension.
Each 1-pack (box) of AREXVY contains 2 vials:
Administer 1 dose (0.5 mL) of AREXVY as an intramuscular injection only, preferably in the deltoid muscle.
RSVPreF3 = recombinant RSV glycoprotein F stabilized in the pre-fusion conformation.
STEP 1: WITHDRAW
Cleanse both vial stoppers. Using a sterile needle and sterile syringe, withdraw the entire contents of the vial containing the adjuvant suspension component (liquid) by slightly tilting the vial. Vial 1 of 2 (brown cap vial).
STEP 2: TRANSFER
Slowly transfer entire contents of syringe into the lyophilized RSVPreF3 antigen component vial (powder). Vial 2 of 2 (mustard-coloured cap vial).
STEP 3: SWIRL
Gently swirl the vial until powder is completely dissolved. Do not shake vigorously.
STEP 4: AFTER RECONSTITUTION
After reconstitution, using a new needle of suitable gauge and length for intramuscular vaccination, withdraw 0.5 mL of the reconstituted vaccine into the syringe, and administer intramuscularly.
See Product Monograph for complete administration instructions.
AREXVY may be given concomitantly with the inactivated quadrivalent seasonal influenza vaccine (standard dose, unadjuvanted). If AREXVY is to be given at the same time as another injectable vaccine, the vaccines should always be administered at different injection sites.
AREXVY should be refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE (discard if frozen).
Store in the original package to protect from light.
Store adjuvant suspension vials and lyophilized antigen vials between 2°C and 8°C before reconstitution.
After reconstitution, AREXVY should be used promptly; if not possible, the vaccine should be stored in the refrigerator (2–8°C) or at room temperature up to 25°C for up to 4 hours prior to use.
See Product Monograph for complete storage instructions.
