As a science-led global healthcare company, GSK’s key priority is to continue the manufacture and supply of medicines and vaccines in the UK, support the NHS and ensure the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and patients. Our teams are on hand to support with queries you may have.
GSK’s response to COVID-19
In an unprecedented collaboration, GSK has joined forces with Sanofi to bring together two of the world’s largest vaccines companies to fight COVID-19. The collaboration will combine the scientific and manufacturing expertise and resources of two global scale vaccines specialists to develop a new, adjuvanted vaccine.
Alongside this, in the global search for potential COVID-19 medicines, we are evaluating our marketed pharmaceutical products and medicines in development to determine if any could be used beyond their current indications in response to the pandemic.
We are also supporting a range of global and local initiatives. This includes our $10m donation to the World Health Organisation and UN Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, as well as partnerships to make our vaccines adjuvant technology available in multiple COVID-19 vaccine research programmes.
For patients who have been identified by the Government as vulnerable, such as those with severe asthma, we are helping by enabling self-administration at home. This allows them to follow Government advice to stay home where possible, whilst continuing to access the care and medicines they need.
We have a range of resources to support healthcare professionals and patients with their respiratory health at this time:
- GSK product information (contains promotional content).
- Free patient support items, including demo devices and placebos (contains promotional content).
- Remote review hub, offers the tools and resources you need to confidently review your respiratory patients and manage their treatment remotely.
- Oncology Expert Insights, a podcast and webinar series on the latest developments in ovarian cancer management (contains promotional content).
