Not all ICSs are the same molecule. Flixotide is fluticasone propionate, Pulmicort is budesonide, Qvar and Clenil are beclomethasone dipropionate
Flixotide Accuhaler offers preventative treatment for asthma.
For Adults: Prophylactic management in mild asthma for patients requiring intermittent symptomatic bronchodilator asthma medication on a regular daily basis; prophylactic management in moderate asthma for patients with unstable or worsening asthma despite prophylactic therapy or bronchodilator alone; prophylactic management in severe asthma for patients with severe chronic asthma and those who are dependent on systemic corticosteroids for adequate control of symptoms.
For children: Any child who requires prophylactic medication for asthma, including patients not controlled on currently available prophylactic medication.
