ViiV Healthcare sponsors SSSTDI satellite symposium



ViiV Healthcare attended the 33rd annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Ireland. The meeting was once again held in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, Ireland from the 23rd to 24th of November.

At this meeting, ViiV healthcare sponsored a satellite symposium titled '2 Drug Regimens - a new approach for treating HIV?’ which was chaired by Adam Stubbs, PhD, Medical Director, ViiV Alliance Countries, ViiV Healthcare and Dr. Bryn Jones, Global Medical Affairs Director, ViiV Healthcare, St. Mary’s Hospital London.

Dr Bryn Jones discussed the rationale for developing 2-drug regimens and the clinical evidence supporting this rationale. Adam Stubbs shared the results of the Positive Perspectives Survey, focusing on the views of partners of people living with HIV, how they support their partner, the role they play and the challenges they face associated with their partners HIV.
