T-BACT OINTMENT2
Contraindications: T-BACT OINTMENT should not be given to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to mupirocin or any of the constituents of the preparation.
Special warnings and precautions: Discontinue the treatment in event of a possible sensitization reaction or severe local irritation. Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms. Pseudomembranous colitis has been reported with use of antibiotics, although it is less likely to occur with topically applied mupirocin. T-bact Ointment is not suitable for ophthalmic use, intranasal use, use in conjunction with cannulae, use at the site of central venous cannulation. Avoid contact with eyes. If contaminated, thoroughly irrigate eyes with water to remove ointment residues.
Adverse effects: Common (≥1/100, <1/10): Burning localised to the area of application. Uncommon (≥1/1000, <1/100): Itching, erythema, stinging and dryness localised to the area of application. Cutaneous sensitisation reactions to mupirocin or the ointment base. Very rare (<1/10,000): Systemic allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, generalised rash, urticaria and angioedema.

Contraindications: T-BACT CREAM should not be given to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to mupirocin or any of the constituents of the preparation.

Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms. Pseudomembranous colitis has been reported with use of antibiotics, although it is less likely to occur with topically applied mupirocin. Not suitable for ophthalmic use, intranasal use. Avoid contact with eyes. If contaminated, thoroughly irrigate eyes with water to remove cream residues.
