Dr Bolanle Adefuye is an accomplished Respiratory Care management professional, with more than 20 years of supervisory experience, and a seasoned lecturer in respiratory medicine. Her foremost contribution to knowledge is in reducing the scourge of obstructive airway diseases, infectious diseases, occupational diseases, thereby reducing medical morbidity and mortality, expecially as they affect respiratory health. She has worked on over 40 scientific publications. She has a history of excellent professional mentoring and patient care. She loves to teach and will demystify asthma and its management. She will share her wealth of experience in the management of asthma which will build the capacity of GPs to diagnose and manage asthma with a clear post exacerbation action plan for each patient.

Professor of Medicine, University of Toronto, Director, Asthma and Airway Centre, University Health Network, President of the Canadian Network for Asthma Care and Director of the Canadian Registry for Alpha1 Anti-trypsin Deficiency

Dr Kenneth Chapman is an internationally respected researcher in the field of asthma, COPD and airway diseases; his publications have appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet. With more than 19,000 citations to his work, Professor Chapman is in the top 1% of cited medical researchers. He chaired Canada's first Consensus Conference to establish Canadian guidelines for the management of COPD
