Ellipta

Ellipta enables once daily dosing 12across a portfolio of medicines in a single inhaler type and was specifically designed to be simple to use and to minimise errors. Ellipta is a dry powder inhaler and contains two aluminium foil laminate blisters of 30 doses12

Diskus/Accuhaler

A dry powder inhaler that contains measured doses in a laminated strip. 3

  • There is a dose indicator on the back of the Diskus/Accuhaler which shows how many doses are left. The last five doses appear in red, to highlight to the the patient that their inhaler is almost empty. 3

    Sliding the lever uncovers the mouthpiece and prepares one dose ready for inhalation. 

    Important information for your patients when using the Diskus/Accuhaler: 3

    • The lever should only be pushed open when ready to take the medicine
    • Never blow in to the Diskus/Accuhaler
    • The Diskus/Accuhaler should remain closed when not in use
    • Keep out of the reach of children
    • Do not store above 30°C

Evohaler

A pressurised metered-dose inhaler which contains 120-200 doses (depending on medicine prescribed). The medicine is mixed with propellant gas under pressure. 4

  • Each time the canister is pressed, a puff of medicine is released.

    Important information for your patients when using an MDI :

    • To prevent inhalers becoming blocked, it is important to clean regularly
    • The metal container must not be put in to water
    • Patients must shake the inhaler before use
    • The effect of medicine may be reduced if cooled
    • Keep out of the reach of children
    • Do not store above 25°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight
    • The metal canister is pressurised. Do not puncture, break or burn it even when apparently empty
